Ghost Scalper MT5 is a fully automated Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5, developed by Thomas Christoph Lipka and built exclusively for XAUUSD (Gold). It is designed for selective breakout and momentum moves in the gold market. It does not trade all the time. Instead, it waits until the conditions of its own strategies are met.

Ghost combines four independent strategies, called Ghost A, B, C, and D. Each one has its own entries, parameters, and money management. Version 4.0 adds new trailing profiles, an automatic Auto Offset system, better execution and broker monitoring, and more dashboard analysis tools.

Ghost handles the whole trade cycle on its own, from finding a setup to protecting an open position.

• Step 1: Four Independent Strategies: Ghost A, B, C, and D each look for their own breakout or momentum conditions. For each one you can turn it ON or OFF, allow BUY and SELL, only BUY, or only SELL, and choose its own trailing profile and money management.
• Step 2: Automatic Breakout Levels and Pending Orders: The EA sets breakout levels, places pending orders, and updates them automatically. It also calculates lot size and risk for you.
• Step 3: Stop Loss and Take Profit: Trades are managed with a Stop Loss, a Take Profit, and a trailing stop as part of the EA’s automatic trade management.
• Step 4: Three Trailing Profiles: For each strategy you can pick one of three trailing styles. Old Trail is the classic Ghost trailing with fixed parameters. Dynamic Fast Trail is the default in version 4.0, built for faster trade management. Dynamic Wide Trail uses larger trailing distances to give a moving trade more room.
• Step 5: Auto Offset V1: When Dynamic Fast is used, this system looks only at closed Ghost trades. It compares recent performance with a larger history, checks BUY and SELL separately, and can adjust the entry offset within set limits. It uses no future data.
• Step 6: Hybrid Trailing and Protection: Ghost first tries to update the Stop Loss directly with the broker. If the broker rejects the change, the existing broker-side Stop Loss stays in place and Ghost activates the new protection level internally as a virtual fallback. It keeps trying to place the real Stop Loss on later ticks. An active virtual fallback is saved and can resume after a restart of MT5, the EA, or the VPS.
• Step 7: News and Weekend Protection: A built-in news filter can block new entries 30 minutes before and after key USD events. Pending orders are removed or blocked from Friday 22:00 broker time and allowed again from Monday 00:00 broker time. Open positions continue to be managed as normal.
